Our Spa & Wellness Gift Cards are sold in over 80,000 Retail locations nationwide and accepted at over 9,000 partner locations. In addition, the gift card is sold directly on our website and through many B2B loyalty/ incentive and wellness program channels.

With a very aggressive expansion plan in place, we are looking to grow our corporate development team and add a Director of Business Development. The right candidate for this role will be an all-star salesperson who is as effective in mining new leads and closing sales as they are in contributing to high-level strategy meetings. This position will be expected to consistently bring in new business, form strategic partnerships, and work with senior leadership to craft our long-term corporate vision and goals. As the Director of Business Development, you will be hands-on in all facets of the sales cycle and in the development of our corporate sales team. The right candidate will have the opportunity to work directly with senior leadership to craft their ideal career path with the company.

Preferred Skills:

  • B2B Sales experience (min 5 years)
  • CRM experience & LinkedIn savvy
  • Experience in gift cards, payments, or benefits spaces

Day to Day Responsibilities:

  • New account acquisition through prospecting high volume/value accounts
  • Navigating through the corporate ladder to find the appropriate contacts to connect with
  • Aligning the Spa & Wellness Gift Card with their corporate needs (wellness programs, client gifting, employee gifting/ anniversaries)
  • Executing contracts and closing the deal
    Responsible for selling and closing inbound leads
  • Building long-term relationships while providing excellent customer service
  • Responsible for building daily and weekly contact strategies and sales forecasting
  • Must maintain and report on revenue achievements and pipeline management within the CRM
  • Achieving and exceeding sales targets
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to exchange best practices such as selling strategies and market information
  • Partner with senior leadership to ensure that sales and marketing plans support and align with the company and goals
  • Communication: Keep senior leadership informed of activities, progress, successes and potential wins/ losses
  • Keep up to date on products, services, competition and industry trends

Job Knowledge, Skills, and prior Experience:

  • B.A. degree in a business-related field with a minimum of 5 years of comprehensive experience in Sales and marketing communications
  • Strong relationships/ contacts, strategizing and closing large-scale programs within corporate America
  • Superior prospecting skills and polished solution-selling skills
  • Must have a passion for developing long-term, winning relationships with corporate decision-makers
  • Ability to make a minimum of 50-100 touches per week
  • Prior experience making cold calls & cold emails
  • Skilled at managing and prioritizing multiple projects and tasks with strong planning and follow-up skills
  • Excellent overall communication (phone, email, interpersonal, etc.) and writing (grammar, punctuation, etc.) skills
  • Goal-oriented, disciplined and number-driven
  • Flexible, resourceful, and able to thrive in a fast-paced, changing, and growing environment
